IEEE Open Access Journals Marketing Toolkit

This marketing toolkit contains templates that can be leveraged by any IEEE Society or Council to promote any new fully Open Access Journal or IEEE Access section. It includes sample Print Ads, Signage, Flyers, Journal Covers, Digital Ads, Society Web Carousels, Social Media Banners, a Web Page, Emails, an Image Library, and a Quick Start Guide. There are two versions of these templates designed to cover both the journal's initial launch (labeled "Launch - Call for Papers") as well as the post launch promotion (labeled "Post Launch - Driving Both Readership and Submissions"). All templates are fully editable for any new Open Access Journal and can be customized in a variety of ways using stock images from the image library with multiple color variations available.  To help get you started in the use of these materials, please refer to the "IEEE Open Access Marketing Quick Start Identity Guidelines."

Web Page Template

Included here is sample text and layout for your Society or Council’s page about your Open Access Journal or section in IEEE Access that should appear on your Society/Council website. Two Word documents are available below for download: Best Practices and Web Copy. The Web Copy document will allow you to copy, paste, and customize to meet your Society or Council’s specific title, scope, APC, etc. as indicated throughout the text. In addition, please note there are several items that are required on your web page regarding the open access title. These items include:

1. Editorial Board: Include the name, affiliation, and geolocation of every member of the Editorial Board
2. Review Process: Depending on if your journal uses single-blind or double-blind review process, please include one of the two paragraphs included in the document.
3. Article Processing Charge: Include information regarding the APC and any discounts or subsidies available.
