What technology myths have you heard?

Frequently in user research, people describe how they think technology works. Sometimes those theories are accurate, but most often they are not. People’s theories are often shaped by their environment, their knowledge, and/or their experience. This in turn impacts how they use technology (including online websites and mobile apps).
